is in progress and we are already over
338 million!
With this you can support the activities of His Holiness Karmapa. Every Mantra counts!
Following His Holiness the Karmapa's advice earlier, we encourage you to increase the number of Chenrezig Mantras. This is why we launched the Chenrezig Mantra Counter on April 5, 2020.
You can use it every day or more often. And you can enter only one Mantra recited, because every Mantra counts!
For more information, see the FAQ section below!
Stay tuned!
Thank you very very much!

Occasionally, after filling out, when you exit the page, your browser will offer to resend the page.
PLEASE DO NOT ALLOW YOUR BROWSER TO UPDATE THE PAGE!
(Because in this case, this error occurs: the system registers the number in the counter several times!)

Find clear answers to common questions about using the Karma Kagyu Mantra Counter. For personal guidance, always consult your Guru or Teacher.
Can I use the counter every day?
Yes, absolutely. You are welcome to use the mantra counter daily, and even several times a day if you wish.
Can I enter just one mantra at a time?
Yes, you can. Every mantra counts, no matter how many you recite at once.
Can I enter mantras I plan to recite in advance?
No. Please only enter mantras you have already recited.
How long will the mantra counter be available?
There is currently no planned end date for the mantra counter. Hundreds of thousands of mantras are being accumulated daily.
When should I enter my recited mantras—after each session, daily, or weekly?
Enter your mantras whenever it is most comfortable for you. Choose the frequency that best suits your practice.
If I recite a full mala, how many mantras does that count as—1 or 108?
A full mala counts as 108 mantras, as each bead represents one mantra. There are teachers, gurus, traditions, who/which say that a circle on the mala counts as 100. Consult your teacher/guru about this.
Which version of the mantra should I recite: OM MANI PEME HUNG or OM MANI PADME HUM?
Both versions are correct and have the same meaning. OM MANI PEME HUNG is the Tibetan pronunciation, while OM MANI PADME HUM is Sanskrit. Recite whichever feels right for you.
Is it necessary to use mala?
Using a mala is not required, but it is helpful. It assists with counting and, according to the "Three Gates" teaching, involves speech, mind, and body in your practice.
Is it possible to enter the number of Mantras multiple times on multiple days? For example, on 10 million times day, if I recite 1 Mantra, do I have to enter 10 million?
No. Only enter the exact number of mantras you have physically recited.
